The Parenting Class is designed to help parents learn how to effectively lead their children into a healthy awareness of themselves and God’s plan for their lives. This involves setting our goals as parents, relationship building, learning God’s process of teaching obedience, and knowing the difference between punishment and discipline. Classes are 11 weeks long and held twice a year.
Becoming A More Effective Parent
Effective parenting leads children into a healthy awareness of themselves and God's plan for their lives requires a special commitment, energy, and knowledge by parents. God provides this through His Word and teachings that are based on His Word.
"Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." Eph. 6:4 (NIV)
"For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory." 1 Thes. 2:11-12 (NIV)
