Prison Ministry

The Prison Ministry of Cornerstone Church is impacting all of the prisons in South Texas for Christ. We are expanding our outreach rapidly with new programs being implemented and organized each month. We are leading discipleship training, preaching salvation, mentoring, counseling, and witnessing through special music. We are excited to see a great harvest coming. These efforts represent a marvelous outreach that has changed the lives of many.

Angel Tree

It starts with a gift…it leads to lives transformed by Christ!
“And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.” Matthew 18:5

Right now, an estimated 2.3 million children in the United States have a mom or dad in prison. The number is huge – but so is the opportunity. Angel Tree is a ministry that reaches out to the children of inmates and their families with the love of Christ. It seeks to transform the lives of these families and to reconcile them to their Heavenly Father and to each other. In Matthew 18:5, Jesus said, “And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.” There are children in our community who are among the most at-risk children in the nation. Angel Tree provides an opportunity to connect with those families and begin ministering to them at Christmas.

What is Angel Tree… it starts with a Gift.

Angel Tree provides an opportunity for families and individuals to share the blessings of giving to others who are less fortunate. Participating in Angel Tree is a powerful way for our church families to minister together as the body of Christ. It provides a venue to teach our children the value of giving unselfishly. Participating in Angel Tree is also a powerful way for our church community as a whole to lovingly answer the Biblical call to minister to “the least of these.” Cornerstone Church has participated in the Angel Tree program for over 15 years. Because of the generosity of our church members, we have been able to distribute thousands of gifts over the last several years. Last year, we ministered to over 850 children and delivered over 1700 gifts.

Delivering gifts is the avenue into homes where the volunteers take the opportunity to lead the lost to Christ. Many, many individuals have experienced the Salvation of Christ through Angel Tree ministry.

ANGEL TREE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

It’s time to enlist the help of volunteers to undertake the job of providing gifts for children of those in prison. There are many ways you can serve in these few months before the gifts are delivered.

Volunteers Needed:
