...and the Levites who were the singers, all those of Asaph and Heman and
Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, stood at the east end of the altar,
clothed in white linen, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps, and with
them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets-- indeed it came to pass,
when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising
and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and
cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying: "For He is
good, For His mercy endures forever," that the house, the house of the LORD,
was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because
of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
Music Ministry
The Music Ministry at Cornerstone offers a wide variety of opportunities for
church members interested in using their musical talents to serve the Lord.
 Sanctuary
Choir
The Choir performs every Sunday at the 8:30 & 11:00 am services. Rehearsals
are Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM - 9:00 pm and an audition is required for persons
18 years and older. For information and an appointment call the Music Department
at 499-1620.

Special Music
If you are a choir member and have a desire and talent to be part of "Special
Music", Call 210-499-1620 to schedule an audition. Choir membership is mandatory.
Orchestra
If you are a professional musician, or play an instrument at a professional
level, you can audition for the Cornerstone Orchestra. Audition by appointment only.
Call the Music Department at 499-1620.
 Praise
& Worship Team
The Worship team members are selected from the Sanctuary Choir. The Worship team
leads praise and worship during the Sunday Evening Service and special events. Membership
in the Worship School is also required..

Praiseland Children’s Choirs
Praiseland, the Cornerstone Church Children’s Choir program, teaches music
as a wonderful means of expressing love for God and offers the chance for members
to learn to be leaders of worship through music. Praiseland includes children
4 years of age through Grade 6. All choirs rehearse in the B Building.
Praiseland’s three choirs, offered by the Music Department at Cornerstone
Church are:
Joyful Sound Choir: For children ages 4 and 5.
Our goal for The Joyful Sound Choir is to build a foundation for healthy singing
and basic musicianship. Spiritual concepts that help develop a child’s sense of
worth and the knowledge that “Jesus loves me,” are affirmed through music. The Joyful
Sound Choir sings in the Sunday Evening Service every six to eight weeks.
Power House Choir: For children in Grades 1-3.
The Power House Choir, taught by Sabrina Richey, will focus on developing good vocal
skills, understanding music for praise and worship as well as music literacy. The
Power House Choir sings in the Sunday Evening Service every six to eight weeks.
Solid Rock Choir: For children in Grades 4-6.
The Solid Rock Choir, taught by Vivian Skinner, will focus on good vocal and music
literacy skills, using a combination of exercises and focused work. The Solid Rockers
learn to use body, mind, spirit, and voice to worship God. This choir sings in the
Sunday Evening Worship Service every six to eight weeks. Also, plans are being made
for the Solid Rock Choir to lead praise and worship in the KidZone Services every
six weeks.
