What is CORNERSTONE COLLEGE & CAREER MINISTRY?

Cornerstone College & Career Ministry is a family of Christian young adults who are committed to their faith, academics and careers. Our vision is to "Build a Christian Kingdom Foundation To Make the Difference" in the lives, families, campuses, work places and communities of the young adults in our city.  We believe Jesus Christ our Chief Cornerstone has commissioned our generation to bring forth His kingdom into the world we presently live in.  Therefore, we focus on serving young adults in San Antonio through ministry at our Cornerstone Church campus and the campuses of local universities and college campuses in our city. 

The ministry outreach at our local universities and colleges is a relational partnership between our College & Career Ministry and the Christian student-led organizations that we encourage our young adults to establish on their campuses. These student organizations called “Cornerstone On Campus” are led by a core group of fellow students who serve as the officers of each organization and are assisted by a faculty advisor to the organization. The “Cornerstone On Campus” organizations provide students with regularly scheduled opportunities of gathering for bible studies, worship services and fellowships both on and off campus. One of the many great things about these organizations is that they consist of officers, advisors, members and attendees from various churches, denominations and fellowships in our city. Thus, we welcome young adult Christians of all churches, denomination and fellowships to unite with us as we exalt our Lord and King Jesus Christ and see this generation be drawn unto Him by the Spirit of our Heavenly Father according to His Word. 

Our schedule for all of our school campus and church campus services and activities include the following:

CORNERSTONE ON CAMPUS MINISTRY 

Our Cornerstone On Campus Ministry takes place at various colleges and universities in our city such as UTSA and San Antonio College. We generally have services on two Thursday evenings of each month at 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 .p.m. for a great time of worship, encouragement and prayer followed by a time of food, fun and fellowship from 8:30pm to 9:30pm either on campus or at a nearby restaurant. In addition to these services, each student organization has bible studies and fellowships on various days and corresponding times. 

CORNERSTONE COLLEGE & CAREER BIG NIGHTS 

Our Cornerstone College & Career BIG NIGHTS take place in the Cornerstone Praise Center every last Tuesday of the month. They are city-wide events open to all young adults in San Antonio especially to those who are part of the various Cornerstone On Campus student organizations at the universities and colleges throughout our city. Our Big Nights consist of both a worship service and an after party. Our worship service begins at 7:30 p.m., featuring special guest worship leaders or guest speakers from around the country.  This service is packed with passionate worship, a timely Word of God, and life-changing times of prayer at the altar.  At 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. we transition into the Cornerstone Youth Center Café & Game Room for our After Party event at which we have very affordable food, drinks, fellowship, games, and more.

FELLOWSHIP NIGHTS

Our bi-monthly Fellowship Nights take place on Friday nights from 7pm to 10pm at various locations throughout our city including the great Cornerstone Christian Schools Warrior Stadium and Arena. Our activities include volleyball, dodgeball, bowling and much more. In addition to this, we also enjoy eating together and having a great time as young adults who realize the priceless value of authentic Christian fellowship. 

JOSHUA’S GENERATION DINNER & ADORATION SERVICE WITH PASTOR MATTHEW HAGEE

Our Cornerstone College & Career Ministry unites once a month with Pastor Matthew Hagee for our church’s monthly Joshua’s Generation Dinner & Adoration Service which generally takes place every 2nd Tuesday evening of the month. We meet for a great dinner at 6:30pm in the Life Center followed by a wonderful worship and prayer service at 7:30pm to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel to the right of the main sanctuary entrance.

JOSHUA’S GENERATION SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS 

Our Cornerstone College & Career Ministry enjoys the Joshua’s Generation Sunday School Class in the Life Center behind the Main Sanctuary every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. We meet in room 5 where we have a great time of studying God’s Word and growing in our faith in our Lord and King Jesus Christ while we also enjoy drinking gourmet coffee and snacking on something light. This class is taught by multiple ministers and leaders on staff at our church who teach in 2 month increments.
