What is Emerge?

Emerge is the College & Career Ministry of Cornerstone Church. 
 
We are focused on providing relevant ministry to young adults in our church and throughout our city. We seek to achieve this through ministry at our church's campus and at the campuses of the universities and colleges throughout San Antonio.

Just as the word "emerge" means to "rise up out of", our desire is to see the current young adult generation rise up out of their fallen pasts and enter into their divinely destined present and future. We believe that no matter how bad a young adult's childhood and/or adolesence may have been, the best is yet to be for those of them who choose to die to their past, and come alive now to who they can be in Jesus Christ.

  

We aim to achieve this in two major ways. The first is through campus ministry at our local universities and colleges. This particular avenue of ministry aims to establish official Christian Groups on campuses in order to provide fellowship, discipleship, worship services, evangelism and various creative ways of reaching the young adult generation. The second is through ministry at our church's campus which is highlighted by the following weekly and monthly events:

EMERGE UNPLUGGED

Our weekly Thursday night service called Emerge Unplugged takes place at 7pm to 9pm in the Cornerstone Chapel. This night is geared to bringing young adults into a place of Acoustic Worship followed by a relevant message from God's Word as well as the opportunity to respond in prayer. Afterwards, from 9pm to 10pm, we come together for food, fun, gaming and fellowship in our Café & Game Room.

DISCIPLESHIP

Our weekly Sunday School Discipleship Class takes place at 10am to 10:50am in the Cornerstone Life Center. It is geared to leading young adults into God's Word through relevant and profound teaching.

COLLEGE & CAREER NIGHTS

Our monthly College & Career Nights take place every first Thursday of the month at 7pm to 9pm in the Cornerstone Praise Center. These nights are geared to encouraging young adults to bring all of their friends for an amazing night that is open to all young adults throughout the city of San Antonio. On these nights, we host a wide variety of dynamic music ministers or guest speakers from all over the country. Following our service, from 9pm to 11pm, we have our after-parties onsite in our Café & Game Room with free food, give-a-way prizes and more.
