CUFI Washington Summit 2010

To all of our John Hagee Ministry partners and friends that attended the Fifth Annual Christians United for Israel Summit in Washington, D.C. – what can I say other than, “Thank you!”

From the moment we opened the Summit with the Daughter’s for Zion prayer meeting, we could sense the presence of God at the Summit like never before. Throughout the next three days, Scripture after Scripture was fulfilled by the over 4,500 attendees which traveled from every state in the union to show their love and support for Israel and the Jewish people.

During prayer we could hear the rain shower down on the convention center and I turned to Diana and said, “It is the sign of the blessing!” Over 1,500 people joined us in prayer and worship Monday evening which fulfilled Psalm 122:6,

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem…

Following prayer we were invited by Rabbi Scheinberg and several other Orthodox rabbis to join them in observing Tisha B’Av, which is a set time of mourning over the destruction of the temples in Jerusalem. Nearly 1,000 Christians and Jews, including the Ambassador of Israel, Michael Oren, sat on the floor and were led in the reading of the book of Lamentations. This event was a first in the history of Christianity! It was a moment of Divine unity! We could sense God’s blessing even more as Psalm 133 became a reality,

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity…For there the LORD commanded the blessing--life forever.

Word of Faith Church from North Carolina provided a Holocaust Museum exhibition that rivaled any I have seen.

As we walked through the beautiful yet somber display with our Jewish friends we could sense Isaiah 40:1 come alive,

“Comfort, O comfort My people,” says your God.

We opened our Summit Tuesday morning with one informative session after another providing much needed education of the Biblical reasons Christians should support Israel as well as up to the minute facts of the state of affairs in Israel and the rest of the Middle East.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu brought greetings and thanks for CUFI’s support in a live feed from Jerusalem. The evening ended with the finest Night to Honor Israel we have ever experienced in our nation’s capitol.

The next day, CUFI delegates from 477 Congressional Districts went to the Hill for meetings with their Senators and Congressman and voiced their support of Israel and the Jewish people. Once again you could sense the Lord’s guidance as Isaiah 62:1 was fulfilled,

For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet…

Again, my sincere thanks to those of you that supported the Christians United for Israel Summit and I ask that you save the date for the sixth Annual CUFI Summit in DC on July 18-21, 2011 and take advantage of our early registration discounts by registering early at www.cufi.org
