2011 Pastor's Cup & Legacy Banquet

What do Christian education, gourmet food and putting have in common? Simple… Cornerstone Christian Schools Legacy Banquet 2011! The banquet was held in the Bythel Hagee Life Center on Saturday, October 1, 2011.

The evening was full of excitement as guests enjoyed an amazing three course meal, before competing for amazing prizes in Putting for Legacy and watching the Helicopter Golf Ball Drop live. The top golfers at each putting green took home prizes from an iPad 2, and to a weekend vacations at Port Royal Resort and a condo in Rockport, Texas. As anxious golf ball purchasers looked on, the helicopter full of over 1,200 golf balls made its way across the church campus. The golf balls were unloaded over the hole and Dr. Jerry Eshleman, superintendent of CCS, picked up the ball that had dropped into the hole. The winning ball was sold by an elementary school student and was purchased in honor of the Single Parent Scholarship Fund. Applause roared through the banquet as guests showed their joy for this gift given back to the school. The night was complete with a live and silent auction, including items such as a diamond necklace, golf packages and vacations. The banquet came to a close as guests walked away with smiles and contentment at the support shown to Cornerstone Christian Schools. The weekend was not over yet! Over 200 men and women joined CCS staff at the exclusive JW Marriott TPC Golf Resort on Monday, October 3, 2011, for a day of golf on the AT&T Oaks Course. Two groups of golfers teed off, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and all of the participants convened for a delicious lunch at the hotel.

The overwhelming support for Cornerstone Christian Schools by school families, church members, community members and our vendors and sponsors is nothing less than humbling. We will continually pray that the Lord blesses those multiple times in the way how they have blessed CCS.
