Cruise For A Cause 2011

Over 3000 passengers loaded up on a cruise ship headed for Jamaica. The cruise was organized by Praise Fest Ministries International and was the first voyage of “Cruise With A Cause.” The initiative was to preach the gospel as well as participate in several community outreach projects in schools, communities and correctional institutions across the island.

I had the privilege of speaking in Montego Bay, Jamaica to an estimated crowd of 25,000 people who were hungry to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The conditions for this mass-gathering were not favorable. There were no seats; therefore, they stood for three hours to hear the Gospel in a muddy soccer field. It was raining! The wind was blowing! Despite the weather, they were determined to hear God’s Word.

There was an eight foot tall chain link fence surrounding the platform. The distance between the platform and the fence was about 50 feet.

I walked to the pulpit and as the wind began to blow, I looked into the hungry and expectant eyes of thousands of people who had already been standing for more than an hour. Nothing on earth can prevent one from preaching in a moment like this. This day was a day of evangelism!

At the end of our stay, the “Decision Cards” had been counted and we found that more than 21,000 people had made their confession to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. May the Lord bless each of them to remain faithful and make their calling and election sure.
