The Oil Crisis and the Islamic Revolution
The Oil Crisis and the Islamic Revolution” is perhaps one of the timeliest sermons I have ever taught. Since I wrote this series, the world has been shaken by one of the greatest tragedies ever recorded in history. A great earthquake and tsunami have demolished the nation of Japan. In a matter of minutes, a massive earthquake measuring 9.0 on the Richter scale leveled a nation and created a monster tsunami that followed, hitting Japan with a wall of water approximately 70 feet high, leaving in its wake, death and destruction of apocalyptic dimensions. As of print, 18,000 plus people are reported dead or missing while 500,000 are being evacuated to escape the nuclear radiation that could bring death for decades to all who breathe the toxic fumes. Whole cities have been completely wiped out and nothing remains but piles of rubble that extend as far as the eye can see! The shelves of supermarkets are bare, food shortages abound and radiation is infiltrating the drinking water. People are asking questions like: Will there be a nuclear meltdown? Will the radiation reach America? Japan has the 3rd largest economy in the world and owns more than 800 billion dollars of our nation’s debt. Will this national tragedy cause the fragile economy of America to topple? Before the uncertainty caused by Japan’s tragedy, we watched, and are still watching, the bloody and violent implosion of the Middle East on television. Orchestrated riots, instigated by the Muslim Brotherhood, are simultaneously breaking out over that portion of the globe. First it was Egypt, then Yemen, Tunisia, Bahrain and Algeria. Now, Libya is in a civil war to which our nation’s leaders have incoherently responded. Meanwhile, as our nation’s energy prices continue to rise, we help other nations, like Brazil, develop its oil drilling capabilities so we can purchase their crude all the while sitting on top of our own and unwilling to drill at home. This is madness! The fact of the matter is that since World War II, oil has determined the winner of war. In World War II, the United States shut Japan’s oil supply off and as a result, Pearl Harbor was bombed. Ultimately, America had the oil and America won the war. But now, due to energy policies like the one just mentioned, America no longer has the oil, but our appetite and addiction to foreign oil has dramatically increased. Since the recent collapse of the Egyptian government, the Suez Canal is controlled by radical Islam at both ends. For the first time in 30 years, Iranian war ships are passing through the canal into the Mediterranean Sea next to Israel’s coast. As America’s energy costs increase, our shaky economy could collapse and Israel could be surrounded by its enemies with only a crippled ally to aide in its defense. Our President has made his response, or lack thereof, to these crises abundantly clear. As such, Iranian President Ahmadinejad knows that as long as President Obama is in office, America will not attempt to thwart his efforts to create an Islamic theocratic dictatorship throughout the entire Middle East. Amidst all of these things, from the implosion of the tenuous stability in the Middle East to the destruction of Japan, the greatest question people are asking is, “What’s going to happen next?” Don’t worry, this series will answer that exact question! A key factor in answering this question is the battle for Jerusalem which has already begun. So, why after all of these years, can’t Jews and Arabs come to an agreement about the land of Israel? Ultimately, it is not about money or land, but it is about theology. Most Arabs in the region are Islamic Fundamentalists who believe that Mohammed was the only true prophet and that the Koran is absolute truth. They believe that it is Allah’s will for Islam to rule the earth. The problem is that in the throat of these Islamic nations lies the nation of Israel, who has an unconditional blood covenant from the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is where the theological impasse between the two peoples comes into play. Islam cannot rule the earth if Israel and its people are not defeated. If they cannot defeat Israel, then Mohammed was wrong and the Koran is not true. Bottom line, if Israel survives, their theology is wrong. Contrary to what you may hear on certain cable news shows, Islamic Fundamentalists will never honor nor abide by any peace treaty with the nation of Israel. They only use “the roadmap to peace” as a weapon of war to gain more land in Israel. They currently occupy Gaza. They want the West Bank and they will not stop until they have control of Jerusalem, the city of God. Meanwhile, desperate for peace, Israel is negotiating herself into war, but not just any war, this war will affect you, me and every nation on planet earth. The world stage is being set for this war to take place, but it will also explain what Iran is planning in order to cripple our nation and how Russia is helping them do it. So, why do they want to cripple America? They want to cripple America because we are Israel’s only ally. The only way that Russia can gain control of the oil rich Persian Gulf is to defeat Israel and the only way they can do this is to ensure that America is powerless to come and defend Israel. In this series, discover the Bible prophecy regarding the world’s four great super powers at the end of the age. Briefly, they can be described as the King of the North (Russia), the King of the South (Arab Nations, which we can currently see are unifying under Islam), the King of the West (Europe and America), and the King of the East (China). It is important to note that all directions in the Bible are given from Jerusalem. These teachings will explain the battle against Israel, as set forth in the book of Ezekiel, which will be led by Russia, and will prove to you that America will be powerless to stop this military campaign. Moreover, learn the spiritual significance of why God does not allow America the ability to intervene on Israel’s behalf. Fear not! This is God’s battle plan! Just as God destroyed Pharaoh and his army in Exodus, God is going to crush those who come against Israel. This sermon series will explain why God will allow Russia and her Arab allies to descend upon Israel and what God will do in response to their attempt to defeat His land. Finally and most importantly, it is crucial to understand that before this great war begins, the Church will be raptured. We are watching these prophecies fulfilled, literally daily, on television and the time to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is running out. I encourage you to get this series, educate yourself about what is happening before our very eyes and make the choice for Christ now!
