Christopher Sizer, Choir Coordinator

Christopher was born and raised in northern New Jersey, where he began his formal music lifestyle playing trombone in grammar school.  By this time he had been singing in church choir at the Rescue House of Prayer in South Plainfield NJ.  During High School he sang in the Chorus, Men’s Chorus and Madrigal Singers as well as studying music theory and playing in the Jazz, Concert and Marching Bands.

Christopher continued his education at Glassboro State College, one of the best colleges in NJ for studying music.  After his freshman year, finding himself unable to continue with school, he joined the US Navy, serving eleven years as an Air Traffic Controller.  Not forgetting his music training, Christopher lead Praise & Worship for a small church in Corpus Christi, Texas.

After moving to San Antonio and through much inquiry, he found Cornerstone Church.  In a short time he was singing for the singles group, the home ministry group he attended, then in the choir.  Much to our great pleasure, shortly thereafter Christopher became part of the music staff here at Cornerstone.  August 2011, marks his eleventh year staff member celebration at Cornerstone.   Christopher has said many times over the years, "My worst day at Cornerstone is better than my best day anywhere else."  Christoper loves his job and he loves Jesus, and it shows.

Christopher and his wife Julia have three children, Claudia, John and Frances.  The two youngest are named after Christopher's parents and the two girls share both of their grandmother's middle name, Elizabeth.  Christopher avidly sings Barbershop, and is an active cyclist starting the cycling club here at Cornerstone.
