The Blessed Life - A Single Parent Family Ministry

If you are parenting alone for any reason, “The Blessed Life” (formerly Single Parent Mentoring) is designed to bring hope and resources to single parents and their children at Cornerstone Church.  The Blessed Life staff is a Godly support team who stands alongside our single mothers, fathers, grandparents and their children through loving encouragement, support, mentoring, fellowship, and fun! 

Once a month we meet for dinner prepared by our own gourmet Cornerstone Chef, Eric Rocha, and his staff, followed by fellowship and teachings.  Dinner is $5.00 per family.  Register and pick up you family meal ticket at the Church Courtesy Booths or through any Special Events sales table. While you are fellowshipping, your children have their own programs with staff from Early Childhood, Middle and High School Ministry that mirror your theme of the month. January 22 – “New Beginnings”

February 26 – “Get back on the Horse! – Overcoming fear”

March 26 – “Clean House – De-cluttering Your Life”

April 23 – “Fiesta – Celebrating Life”

May 28 “Trips, Summer Camps & Stay-cations”

June 25 – “Nature in the City”

July 30 – “Prioritizing Life – Packing Your Backpack”

August 27 – “Planning & Budgeting for Prosperity”

September 24 – “Safeguarding Your Family”

October 26 – “Blessed Life at the Feast”

November 26 – Let’s Give Thanks!”

December 17 – “O Come Let Us Adore Him!”

We also planned 2 special outing this year.  In March we are doing a “Picnic in Brackenridge Park” with hamburgers, hotdogs and all the fixin’s.  In September we will do an overnight campout at the Cornerstone Tarpley Retreat Center to experience the great outdoors and s’mores.
