March 18 Update:
Watch an invite from Pastor Hagee here
Dear Cornerstone Family,
For the past several weeks, we have been preparing for the possible impact on our church family as we monitor the onset of COVID-19. To ensure our sound and careful decision-making, we have been referencing global, world and local health organizations, as well as regional, state and national advisers.
At this time, we have decided to hold our services online until further notice. We care deeply for our Cornerstone family and we need to find our hope in Jesus and cling to His promises more than ever before. We will be streaming our services live on Facebook and on saCornerstone.org/Watch, just as we do every Sunday, and we encourage you and your family to worship with us in your own home. At Cornerstone Church, we prioritize your safety and the health of our community above all else.
To ensure the well-being of our congregants and in support of President Trump’s request to limit gatherings to no more than ten people, we have also made the proactive decision to reschedule all Cornerstone events that are being held on our campus. This is uncharted territory for us all; however, we have faith that God will see us through.
We invite you to stay connected with our Cornerstone family as we continue to support our city, state and nation. We are committed to keeping you informed about Cornerstone events through our website at saCornerstone.org and social media outlets as we continue to monitor the evolving circumstances. We believe that now is the time to be difference makers and know that God is in complete control.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this time. Please continue to pray for all who are affected by illness and for those who are dedicating their talents to find cures. We extend a blessing over you and your family and will see you online this Sunday at 8:30am and 11am!
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV)
March 14 Update: Watch a video from Pastor Matt here.
Dear Cornerstone Family,
We wanted to reach out to our Church family and provide an update about this weekend’s services. We have been in conversations with government leaders and local health professionals. We are planning to have our weekend services and will follow the appropriate protocol. When you arrive in the morning, look for our Difference Makers wearing the red Cornerstone shirts. They will direct you to the location you will worship on our property.
Certainly, if you have any symptoms or part of a high-risk group, we invite you to watch our services live, online at sacornerstone.org/watch. We are excited to worship with our family…together. Let’s not forsake the assembling together to worship God whether in person or online.
I want to encourage everyone not to let this virus be a source of fear and anxiety. As followers of Christ, we’re clear that God has not given us a spirit fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). And while we won’t be operating from a position of fear, we intend to take the necessary precautions so that we can safely serve our community in a way that demonstrates our trust in God.
We wanted to share our preparedness measures with you, to explain what we’re already doing to limit the spread of germs. As updates from our local officials and the CDC shift and new information is made known, our plans may have to shift as well. We will keep you posted. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram or visit our website for the most up-to-date information.
As always, our phenomenal facilities team is hard at work, cleaning rooms, sanitizing bathrooms and surfaces, and disinfecting our campus. You should know that we already employ specially formulated disinfecting equipment, and solutions that deep clean and sanitize the spaces on our campuses. We will continue to utilize these methods, that disinfect both hard and soft surfaces to provide the safest environment for our children and our guests.
In our children’s spaces and classrooms, besides our normal high-level cleaning that takes place frequently, our volunteers are committed to frequently wiping down check-in surfaces. Hand sanitizer is readily available throughout our facility.
While you’re visiting us, we remind you that the greeters at our doors will help hold exterior doors open to minimize the need to touch door handles. During times of greeting, we recommend you offer a wave and a smile, in place of a handshake.
If you are feeling sick or feel that you are at risk, we encourage you to stay home and join us online. We live stream our Sunday services at 8:30 & 11:00am, 2:00pm (Spanish), and 6:30pm for our evening service. You can watch live at saCornerstone.org/Watch
Many of you have called the church office wanting to be sure to give your regular offering and tithes. We want to thank you for your faithfulness and unwavering support of this ministry. If you desire to give to Cornerstone or Hagee Ministries, you can do so safely online. If you haven’t already, this is a great opportunity to set it up in advance and give online regularly. You can set up your giving by clicking here.
As a reminder, in the weeks to come, if you are exposed to, have symptoms of, or are being treated for the coronavirus, self-quarantine is the God-honoring step to take to avoid infecting others. We encourage you to take some time to understand proper prevention measures to avoid spreading the virus by reading through the CDC recommendations here. We can’t wait to see you at church on Sunday!
March 13 Update:
Cornerstone Church’s doors will be open this Sunday, March 15, at our regular service times.
However, we will do so in compliance with the San Antonio Mayor’s City Ordinance. This means the congregation will be spread out, in various buildings across our church campus, to ensure that each audience is limited to under 500.
As a reminder to anyone that is feeling ill, in a COVID high-risk category or who cannot otherwise join us, please worship with us on social media on Facebook Live at Hagee Ministries and Cornerstone Church pages or online at saCornerstone.org/watch and JHM.org/watch
